Advent Day 7

Advent Day 7

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10 NIV

What do you do when you are trying to navigate the gaps between what you can see and what you can’t see, while God seems outside of your line of sight? In Day 6 of Darkness Then Light the author describes battling the darkness when the way forward isn’t marked and we find ourselves asking “Where are you God?” In Isaiah 41:10 God tells us not to be afraid or dismayed when life doesn’t make sense because, even when you don’t see Him,  He never lost sight of you.  He will strengthen you, help you and uphold you through the darkness.  So instead of praying “God where are you?” let Isaiah 41:10 guide your prayer. “God, I know you are with me and I won’t let fear tell me otherwise. You are my God and the darkness must flee because you are the light of the world.
