Hello Dear Ones!
Thank you for your mighty prayers! God has spared my life! On May 23rd, I experienced the results of very high calcium levels in the blood resulting in severe disorientation. I was taken to the emergency room at Marian Hospital in Santa Maria and admitted.
My central challenge was and is renal failure. To say the last four weeks have been difficult would be an understatement. On one night, we were told to “gather the family,” as I might have died.
Thankfully, thousands of you were praying! God has spared my life. And I’m thankful to be alive!
I’ve been home for a week and the recovery is slow but sure. I will be having dialysis. It will be 2 ½ hours on Mondays and Fridays. I hope it will not hold me back from my normal life and doing ministry. Please pray for the restoration of my kidney function and the return of my strength.
I want to thank my precious wife Cathi, who has been a rock through this. And Jeff and Sara who have been close by my side. My larger family and hundreds of friends have prayed and helped us in a thousand ways. We’ve been overwhelmed by your love and kindness.
I want to thank our amazing staff and teaching team for stepping up in such a big way! And, thanks to all of you who kept coming to worship, you’ve continued to serve and give. Your faithfulness has been so encouraging to me!
I’m hearing wonderful stories of what God continues to do among us! God is on the move! I’ve been able to share with and pray for nurses and a roommate.
So, what now? I believe that God is restoring me completely! And, I’ll be able to be back with you soon. Of course, Cathi will have the final vote as to when I come back! I will keep you posted!
I’m hanging on to God’s promises like Romans 8:11 “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.”
So Dear Ones, stay faithful! Let’s hang on to Jesus! He will see us through!
I’ll leave you with Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace, as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
With Great Love, Fervent Prayers and Godly Affection,
Pastor Ron Salsbury
