Greg serves in various administrative and ministry roles as Assistant to the Executive Pastor. As Country Gospel Worship Leader, Greg organizes the pre-service Country Concert on the First Friday of each month, as well as selecting songs and leading the regular Worship Service, immediately following. Duties also include musician assignments, (he likes to call them pickers) as well as vocal harmonies and soloists. Greg also charts out all the songs for the band’s music stands.
As Video Production Specialist, Greg shoots and edits various videos around campus for many departments, usually for publicity to the church and community about upcoming events. He and his Video Team also edit the Sermon each week, uploading to the website, and burning DVD copies for those who order. The weekly emailed blog “Lifelines” is another aspect of internet duties, including producing the embedded video and updating the devotional and event aspects of the email.
Working in IT and Tech Support, Greg deals with the church’s Network Servers, all staff work-station computers, over-seeing Internet and Telephone services as well as organizing other technical areas.
Greg has been married to the love of his life, Cynthia since 1990. Their daughter Melanie, a full time Mom, and her husband Brian Borum a civil engineer, live in Arroyo Grande with grandkids Riley, Addisyn and Chase. Their son Marc, also a songwriter/musician and videographer and his wife Cydney, a Special Needs Education Specialist live in Visalia with four more grandkids, Beck, Reece, Skylar and Sophie.
New tekkie gadgets and internet gizmos fascinate Greg in is rare spare time. He used to fly a lot as a past time, but then his arms got tired. Watching old black and white movies with his loving wife is also a favorite for them both.
