Gina joined the New Life Staff in 2008 as a Marriage and Family therapist intern. She has since become a licensed therapist and is currently the Director of Care and Counseling Ministries. Gina’s passion is to create a safe environment for people to be honest and open about the difficulties of life and relationships. She believes people can find healing and hope through the love and relationship with Jesus.
Gina received her B.S. in Theology and Youth Ministry from San Jose Christian College (now William Jessup University) where she met her husband David. She went on to receive her M.A. in Psychology from Chapman University.
Gina loves spending time with her husband and daughter, discovering new things and traveling. She also enjoys golfing, hiking, cooking, reading and being outdoors. She is not only an avid college basketball fan but also a faithful fan of both the San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants.
Her favorite Bible verses are:
Hebrews 4:15-16 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Isaiah 45:3 I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
