Carol currently serves in our Nursery Dept on Sunday mornings. She and her husband Russ have been attending New Life for the last 10 years. They have three grown sons and five grandkids, which she adores and considers her best friends! She loves kids, which is one of the main reasons for getting involved in Kids Ministry. She and her husband were on the Hospitality Committee at their previous church in Boston and also served as deacons.
In Carol’s free time, she loves to visit her grandkids, entertain guests and volunteer at the local hospital in the gift shop. She loves to sew, decorate and cook alongside her husband.
When asked if she had to choose between reading peoples’ minds or being invisible, she would chose to read peoples’ minds, as she said she has always been fascinated by trying to figure out what people are thinking. As a matter of fact, if she were to go back to school now, she would most likely study Psychology! She and her husband love to watch sports, especially the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.
If stranded on a desert island and could only bring two items, she would bring pictures of her grandkids and fishing gear; and the one item she would eat for the rest of her life if she had to, would be shrimp!
Carol’s favorite scripture is Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.”
Carol is a true blessing to Kids Ministry. She always comes with a smile and is excited to see each child. She is loving, patient and will go wherever needed, just willing to be a servant! We are thankful to have volunteers like Carol serve in our ministry!
