PASTORAL COUNSELING
Pastoral counseling services are provided by Pastors Vince Maloney, Vince Llamas, Bill and Beth Duane, and LMFT Interns at the New Life Care Center. This includes spiritual counseling, family/child counseling, pre-marital and post-marital counseling for New Life attendees.
Care Center counselors also provide referrals to our Support Groups for specialized struggles such as substance abuse, recovery from divorce, personal grief, weight loss, pornography addiction and relational abuse recovery. We also provide referrals to reputable Christian licensed therapists in the geographical area.
All Counseling services are scheduled by calling Merrie Biddison at the New Life Care Center at 805-489-3254 ext. 500.
BARNABAS CARE
The Barnabas Care Team (BCT) is a group of volunteer New Life members who are gifted in the areas of encouragement and support and have been trained in peer counseling. BCT members have diverse backgrounds and a heart for ministry.
This team is led by Pastor Bill Duane: "It is my great joy to serve the Lord with a team of caring people who want to invest in the lives of others. This team is sensitive to the Spirit of God, encouraging others as they work through the issues of life, helping them in their relationships with God and one another."
- Plan of Counseling - BCT services are offered on a donation basis with all proceeds suppring the BCT ministry. Counselors usually spend from one to five sessions with counselees. If additional counseling is needed, a referral is given to one of our list of reputable Christian licensed therapists.
- Promise of Confidentiality - The BCT understands the importance of a safe, trusting environment. You can be assured that what is shared with counselors will be kept in strict confidence.
- Pledge of Compassion - The BCT will support you as brothers and sisters in Christ and provide care in an insightful, compassionate way. This is primarily accomplished through listening, encouragement, and prayer.
